My contributions

Block Texturing / Visual Communication

  • Reiterated textures to communicate blocks roles

  • Used playtesting feedback to inform decisions

  • Research into existing games to deconstruct

    a different approach

Environment design

  • Created reusable and game-ready assets

  • Using lighting, recreated a jazz bar atmosphere

  • Used oil paint textures for a painterly feel

UI/UX

  • Designed logos for the game and company

  • Researched Saul Bass to create inspired UI

  • Created a palette inspired by mid-century jazz

Having the opportunity to work on Stack-A-Chance has allowed me to work successfully in a team. As my role of the artist and UI designer, I learnt how to communicate

design choices visually, create a harmonious visual style and to feel more confident in the Unity engine. Although I wasn't involved in the prototype stages, I believe my

experiences of constantly analysing and play-testing has made me incredibly inspired to work further on my programming skills so I can turn ideas into working prototypes.

Overall, the production of this game has made me a much stronger and capable developer than I were prior and inspired my next project where I reversed engineered classic

arcade games in C#.
